What B10 is
B10 is diesel containing up to 10 per cent FAME biodiesel — a higher blend than the B7 sold as ordinary forecourt diesel.
Is it sold in the UK?
It is not a normal UK forecourt grade. The Fuel Finder scheme lists B10 as a fuel type, which means a forecourt is able to report a price for it — but listing a code and selling the fuel are two different things. In the data behind this site, 0 of 8,077 forecourts report a price for B10. That count is the honest answer to “is it sold here?”, and it is a count of what was reported, not a survey of the country.
Can my vehicle use it?
Not every diesel engine is approved for a blend above 7 per cent, and this is a case where getting it wrong has a cost. Check the manufacturer’s guidance for your vehicle before using B10. We report the price; we cannot tell you what your engine is approved for.
