What we collect, why, and on what legal basis
Server records and visitor statistics
What: like most websites, our web server keeps a record of each request: the page visited, the date and time, the page that sent you to us, your IP address, and the browser information your device sends, from which we can tell the browser, operating system and type or model of device. “Search near me” and your device’s location
What: if you choose to use your location on the search page, your browser asks your permission and then gives the page your device’s position. The page uses it on your device to work out which forecourts are nearest. Your position is not sent to us and we do not store it. You can search by town or postcode instead.
Why: to show forecourts near you, only when you ask.
Legal basis: your choice, through your browser’s permission prompt; you can withdraw it in your browser settings at any time.
Email correspondence
What: if you email us, your name, your email address and what you write.
Why: to reply to you and keep a record of the correspondence.

What: if you allow analytics cookies, Google Analytics records how you use the site, such as the pages you view and how you move between them. From your device when you visit the site, and from you if you email us. We do not obtain personal data about you from other organisations or from public sources. You are not required by law or by any contract to give us personal data.
Who we share it with
- Service providers who handle data on our behalf: our web hosting provider, Google (advertising and analytics), Cookie-Script (cookie consent) and Zoho (email).
